Originally built in the 1960’s for use as a
milking barn for cows, the old red barn is a mixture of
history and information on a dairy operation in this
era, as well
as a modern lodging facility designed with your comfort
in mind.
The Old Red Barn was completely redone from the
walls inward, while maintaining its original feel with
post and beam construction, along with rough pine board
siding. Old metal rescued from other outbuildings
is used inside as accents in the various rooms.
Both the kitchen and bathroom are new and
completely modern, while our two bedrooms maintain a
feel of the country.
Air conditioned, of course, the combination
kitchen and living room is a mixture of comfort and
history, with comfortable furniture interspersed with
old artifacts and info of days gone by.
The master bedroom features a queen size log bed
and furniture with a double size log bed in the second
bedroom.. In
addition a set of bunk beds is available in the main
room, and your kids are welcome to pitch a tent outside
if they so desire.
The Old Red Barn features outside decks that
overlook the ranch farming facilities and small animal
area., with a picnic table , a fire area, and charcoal
grill. All
of our outdoor recreational areas, as well as free
fishing in our lake and ponds ( catch with release only)
are included with your stay.
