Randolph Homestead

The Randolph Homestead has always had a special place in our hearts here at Crystal Creek Ranch, but its location at the far end of our ranch has kept it separated from our main ranch area and activities. For this reason we have decided to remove it from our daily rentals, and offer the homestead house on a year round rental basis. Here's a great opportunity to have your own year-round vacation home in the heart of the Ozark National Scenic Riverways, or make it your permanent residence. Step back in time to an era when life ran a little slower, a time when a days worth of hard work left a person with a peaceful feeling of accomplishment as the sun went down. Located on the eastern side of our ranch, the Randolph Homestead spans two or more generations, and encompasses a complete farm homestead experience. Explore the various buildings, from the original two log animal shelters to the root cellar, chicken house, and restored old wooden barn, the site of many a days labor on this old farm homestead.

You will stay in the 1930’s era farmhouse, with its original hardwood floors and country décor, including an array of period furnishings, such as the old parlor stove, piano, grandma’s treadle sewing machine, and her wringer washing machine on the back sun porch. We have taken the liberty to remodel and update some areas for your convenience and comfort, such as a new bathroom area (complete with an old claw foot bathtub), a remodeled kitchen, and air conditioning. The house features two bedrooms, with double beds, plus the parlor, kitchen, bathroom, dining room and living room. We provide all dishes, kitchen utensils, towels, and bedding.

Come and relax under the shade trees after feeding the farm animals and chickens or sit in the screened in porch in the evening and listen to the sounds of nature. Visit the attic and imagine what is must have been like as a child to wake up on a cold morning next to the warm brick chimney. Feel the farm family faith and togetherness that was, and still is a part of country living.

Rental rates for the Randolph House, which will sleep 4 adults in two bedrooms, each with a double bed. There is also a daybed in the parlor which will sleep two more adults. Additional persons past 6 is possible, but will need to be addressed on an individual basis.

DIRECTIONS TO THE RANDOLPH HOMESTEAD......Take Highway 106 west out of Eminence approximately 2 miles to West Eminence {Don't blink, you'll miss it}. Turn south on West Eminence Road {between the medical clinic and the grade school} and go about 200 yards to the first gravel road on your right {County Road 404}. Turn right and go 8 tenths of a mile to the gates of the homestead {there will be a sign on the post}. Drive thru the gates and you're there!!

FINE PRINT: No drug use, and no excessive alcohol use is allowed. Moderation, please, in all things. No smoking in any buildings, or in the vicinity of hay barns or farm equipment. Please, no pets or fireworks, and fires in designated areas only. Individuals and groups will be charged for any damages or replacements.
